GOLF IN THE REGIONS OF ALICANTE AND VALENCIA
There are many fine Golf Courses in the region. Here are some of our recommendations: Golf La Sella
18 hole course, designed by Jose Marie Olazabal in 1990. To get to the course, drive along the road past the villa and take the first left. This takes you under the railway line and up to the road, which circuits the golf course. Turn right and keep going right until you get to the main entrance by the Marriott Hotel. Javea 9 Hole course on the road from Benitachell to Javea. Surprisingly good course but again book a tee time - it is very popular. 00 34 96 579 25 84 javeagolf@ctv.es ******El Saler This course is currently number 7 in Europe and is magnificent. It hosted the Spanish Open in 2001. It takes about 50 minutes to get there and is situated on the coast to the south of Valencia. El Bosque and El Scorpion Both ranked highly in Europe (El Bosque is number 33). El Bosques is about 5-10 miles from Valencia and El Scorpion is right by the airport. You will need a buggy to play El Bosque when its hot! It is extremely hilly.
